Engineers are on a final push to reconnect 1,100 customers in the Highlands and Western Isles still without power after treacherous storms this weekend.
More than 120,000 homes have been hooked back to the grid by Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution (SHEPD) and its sister firm SEPD.
SSE, which owns the firms, says engineers battled high winds, rain, sleet, snow, lightning and freezing temperatures.

They are still finding it hard to access some islands as travel by ferry, boat, aircraft or helicopter has been “impossible” due to the adverse weather, said SSE.
Catering vans continue to dish out free hot food and drinks and also phone charging facilities for people without power, according to the company.
Areas without power this morning, as of 10am, were:
350 – Ross-shire/Sutherland
250 – Inverness-shire
200 – Western Isles
350 – Caithness
